Who we’ve worked with

A Different Kind of Gathering

Rootra events are designed to create space to slow down, move, reflect and reconnect. Designed by a yoga teacher and a psychotherapist, we create an atmosphere that feels personal, calm and welcoming.

With space for up to 12 people, the experience is intentionally relaxed, allowing guests to step away from the pace of everyday life and enjoy something more mindful together.

What our clients say

Rootra is such a special place - the perfect escape to truly switch off and de-stress. Asher and Grace hosted a private yoga and meditation/journaling session for my friends and me, and it was such a wonderful evening. The class was incredible from start to finish, thoughtfully led and beautifully paced. We all left feeling calm, relaxed, and completely refreshed. Exactly what we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a meaningful, restorative experience.”

- Harriet L

I went to a private event a few weeks ago and loved it. My friends and I came out feeling so much more relaxed and will definitely be heading back.

Asher and Grace made us feel so welcome, and made the whole session feel very smooth. They had also prepared some food and drinks for after the session, so we could reflect and immerse ourselves in the moment. Would definitely recommend for something different!”

- James T

A unique blend of yoga and psychology

Rootra sessions are designed by both a yoga teacher and a psychotherapist, blending movement, reflection and mindfulness in a way that supports both body and mind.

This creates an experience that goes beyond a typical wellness session, helping your group relax, reconnect and reflect.

Relaxed and inclusive for everyone

Rootra sessions are welcoming and accessible, with no previous yoga or meditation experience needed.

The aim isn’t performance, it’s about creating a relaxed space where everyone can slow down, reset and enjoy the experience together.

FAQs

  • Our private wellness events are designed for small groups of up to 14 people. Keeping the group size intimate allows everyone to feel comfortable, present and able to fully engage with the experience. It also creates space for meaningful connection and conversation throughout the session. If you're planning something special for a smaller group, the experience can still be tailored to suit the occasion.

  • Not at all. The yoga session is gentle and accessible, designed so that everyone can take part regardless of experience or ability. The focus is on slowing down, connecting with your breath and moving in a way that feels comfortable for your body. Guests are always encouraged to move at their own pace, making the session suitable for both complete beginners and those with an existing practice.

  • Most private events last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the structure of the session and whether your group chooses to include food or wine afterwards. The experience usually includes a welcome, guided yoga practice, meditation and reflective journaling. If you decide to stay afterwards, guests are welcome to relax, enjoy a drink or meal and continue the conversation in a calm and welcoming setting.

  • Our sessions work beautifully for a range of gatherings, including:

    • Corporate wellness events

    • Birthday celebrations

    • Team experiences

    • Private events

    • Trying something different

The combination of movement, reflection and conversation creates a unique shared experience that feels more meaningful than a typical social event.

  • Booking is simple. Just send us an enquiry with a few details about your group, including the number of guests and your preferred date. We’ll then get back to you to discuss availability and help shape the event to suit your group. Because sessions are designed for small groups, we recommend getting in touch in advance where possible.

  • Yes. While the core experience includes yoga, meditation and journaling, the structure of the event can be adapted depending on the group and occasion. Some groups prefer a slightly longer practice, while others focus more on reflection and conversation afterwards. When you enquire, we can discuss what would make the experience feel most meaningful for your group.
