About rootra:therapy

At Rootra, we believe everyone deserves a space to pause, offload, and reconnect with their inner self- not only in moments of crisis, but in the everyday build-up of life.

Life can get busy, overwhelming, or simply noisy, and having a moment each week to breathe, reflect, and realign can make all the difference.

Whether you're feeling stressed, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to understand yourself better, rootra:therapy offers weekly 1:1 sessions grounded in a person-centred therapeutic approach, with the gentle option of incorporating CBT-informed tools when helpful (see FAQ section below for more).

How does it work?

Rootra therapy offers a unique blend of gentle reflection, grounding techniques and embodied awareness to help you build emotional resilience and strengthen your sense of self.

It allows you to stay connected to what truly matters - especially when life becomes overwhelming or uncertain.

It’s a supportive space to explore what’s on your mind, understand your emotions, and uncover ways to navigate life with more clarity and balance, so you feel more grounded in yourself and better equipped for whatever life brings.

Rootra Therapy is offered in line with professional and ethical standards. A full therapy contract, including confidentiality and safeguarding information, is shared and agreed before therapy begins.

What’s Included?

  • Every rootra:therapy journey starts with a free 15-minute exploration call.

    • This is a space to discuss what you’re looking for and whether Rootra Therapy feels like the right fit.

    • Therapy does not begin until a therapy contract is agreed.

  • £60 per 50-minute session (concessionary rates offered).

  • To speak directly to Rootra’s therapist, please contact: therapy@rootra.co.uk

A note on safety

Rootra Therapy is not a crisis or emergency service.

If you are currently experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others, feel unable to keep yourself safe, or are in immediate distress, this service may not be the right support at this time.

In these situations, we encourage you to contact your GP, NHS 111, your local crisis team, or emergency services by calling 999. You may also find it helpful to reach out to trusted support such as Samaritans (116 123).

If you are unsure, it can be discussed during a free exploration call to help you find the most appropriate support.

Benefits of rootra:therapy

A space to release the weight you’ve been carrying

This is your space to slow down and let go of the thoughts you’ve been carrying around all day.

A place to release everyday life stress, reset your mind, and soften that heavy feeling of silent overwhelm - so you can reconnect with what you actually want for yourself.

It’s somewhere you can speak freely about how you’re really doing, without worrying about being “too much”. Just you, being honest, and gently guided back to centre.

Build confidence, resilience, and a deeper sense of self

Discover what you really feel, what you really want, and challenge those self-sabotaging thoughts.

By untangling your thoughts and understanding why you’re getting in your own way, you’ll gain clarity and direction for the life you’re trying to build.

As you check in with yourself each week, confidence grows naturally from trusting your authentic self.

Understand and reconnect with your mind and body

A space to gently unravel what’s happening beneath the surface. Discover what those thoughts, feelings and physical symptoms might be telling you and how to manage these.

Alongside this, you’ll uncover gentle psychological insights to support your self-awareness journey, helping you feel more in control of your inner world and preparing you for when life throws the unexpected at you.

We offer mind-body support with real depth

Rootra is built by a therapist and a yoga teacher who actually get the realities of burnout, stress and modern life.

Everything we offer, from prompts to playlists to grounding techniques, is shaped by real psychological insight and real-life experience.

It’s mind-body support that feels human, not clinical.

Why choose rootra?

It’s wellness that works before breakdown

Life doesn’t always wait for us to be ready, and most wellbeing spaces only help once things have already hit breaking point.

Rootra is different. It’s a place to pause a little earlier, to reflect and reset before stress starts to take over.

Designed for real people with real lives, it’s about building resilience and feeling more in control, even when life throws the unexpected at you.

Community that lasts beyond the mat

We all know that post-yoga high — the calm rush, the clarity, the quiet joy. Usually, everyone packs up and disappears into the night.

At Rootra, we slow that moment down. We create space to actually talk, laugh, reflect, and bounce off each other’s good energy.

It’s wellness that builds connection, not just flexibility.
